The concept of journaling. A lot of people seem to mistake it for only the concept of writing, but from what I learned, it is a lot more than just that. The concept of journaling is used as a way to express yourself; not just through storytelling, but through other various forms that many may not know about. Journaling can honestly be about anything. You can jot down whatever comes to your mind, draw/doodle, or even get your emotions out by scribbling on a piece of paper.
Journaling doesn’t have to make sense, it can be used as a way to relieve yourself from stress or just to clear your mind. Through journaling on a piece of paper, you can display what you love to others and for yourself to even remember and look back on. Journalings a method that many people don't tend to recall when they encounter a sense of burden, because what they don’t see is that journaling can help keep things off your mind while you showcase your creative mindset. The best part about journaling is that it doesn’t cost a dime. If you have a piece of paper and something to write with, you’re all set to explore a part of your identity that you don’t pay much attention to.
You can also journal virtually too, by writing on a Google Doc or even making virtual scrapbooks to cherish memories on. That way, all your distinctive and one of a kind journaling will be stored forever for you to look back on. I think that’s what I like about virtual journaling, the fact that it declutters the space of various journals you have and knowing the idea that you won’t lose it as well.
I hope one day, the spirit of journaling is kept alive and people of all ages use it as a form of showing their whimsical and unique identity. Your idea of “journaling” is awaiting you, all you have to do is start jotting to discover something new about yourself.
Yours Truly,
