With society increasingly relying on technology, it is inevitable that we require effective apps that will make our lives easier. That’s exactly what these three apps do.
1. Notion.
As a student, this is my holy grail. Notion is an all-in-one productivity and note-taking web application that “offers organizational tools including task management, project tracking, to-do lists, bookmarking, and more” (Wikipedia). This is typically used on a browser, but since I rely on it for my to-do lists and calendar, I also have it downloaded on my phone!
Not only is this app extremely user-friendly—creating new elements is incredibly straightforward, amongst other perks—but it is also customizable, which adds another level of connectivity and can persuade you to open the app more often, convincing you to be productive. The only thing I can say about Notion is that it’s absolutely amazing, and I believe it’s helpful for almost everyone that uses it (in one way or another)!
2. Stoic.
Again, as a student, this app has been really helpful with keeping me aware of how my days go. stoic is a mental health tracking app that “prepares quick reflections with quotes and mental health activities that will help you feel better, sleep better and stress less” (Apple App Store). Although it has not improved my sleep or reduced my stress, it has created a way for me to hold myself accountable for my feelings, allowing me to acknowledge them, which is something I disregarded for quite some time.
Overall, stoic is an app that can help you begin your journey in self care using small, baby steps, and it’s definitely something to try out, even if it’s only for a couple weeks.
3. Pinterest.
I will always love Pinterest—in my opinion, it is the most wholesome social media app (although it’s definitely not without drawbacks) on the internet because you’re able to just browse aesthetic pictures on a home feed that is curated to your interests. According to Wikipedia, Pinterest is “an American image sharing and social media service designed to enable saving and discovery of information on the internet using images, and on a smaller scale, animated GIFs and videos, in the form of pinboards.”
This app has saved me many times while designing presentations or social media content because it has such a wide variety of images; Pinterest will always be something I recommend!
